Nick and I were feeling so sore on Day 3 of our trip. That hike in Waimea Canyon was harder than I thought it would be! So, I was so glad that we built in a rest day dedicated to seeing the Na Pali Coast.

The Na Pali Coast

We slept in and then went to a really cute little town called Poipu to grab some lunch and walk around a little bit before heading back to Port Allen for our dinner cruise of the Na Pali Coast.

It took about two hours to get to the Coast. Once we were there, the catamaran slowed down and went a little closer, so that everyone could enjoy the view. Then it was another two hours back.

Unfortunately Nick and I both got a little seasick right after we finished going down the coast, and then it started to rain on us! We were so sick and completely soaked by the end of the trip, and we didn’t get to eat a bite of a dinner that looked so delicious, but it was completely worth it. We both said we would go back in a heartbeat, but maybe we should take some dramamine next time. It is a very long trip (over 5 hours), and I have gotten seasick before, so I really should have planned ahead.

That being said, seeing the Na Pali coast has been a dream of mine for a really long time, and I am so thankful that I got the chance to see it. The colors, formations, and sheer size of the cliffs is overwhelming. It was great to see it from the sea before hiking along it the next day.
