It’s been a crazy, adventurous summer. Between 9 visitors and a trip to New York to see my family, I’ve learned that the first thing to slack when life gets busy is blogging. So this is super late, but I am making my August Reflections post in the theme of a “currently” post so we can catch up on what’s been going on! Currently, I’m:
Loving the fact that this summer has been filled with visits from my family and friends. I am just so happy that my friend Christy, who blogs over at Planes, Trains and Running Shoes, and her husband were able to come to Hawaii for a last-minute anniversary trip last week. We managed to do all of my favorite things and still have time to relax. I can’ wait to write about their visit, too. It was an epic trip.
Celebrating our two-year wedding anniversary! I can’t believe it’s been two years. I’m not sure what to do about my blog name now! One of my best friends, Joyce, was visiting during our anniversary. We all went out to dinner together, and she snapped this picture of us:
Planning an anniversary trip with Nick!
Reading Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts and Blindness by José Saramago. I’m hooked on both. Am I the only one who always ends up reading two books at the same time?
Sorting through our closets and drawers slowly and trying to get rid of stuff that we don’t need anymore. I made a big trip to goodwill a few weeks ago. I feel like I am so much more organized and less cluttered now that my drawers aren’t completely filled to the brim with crap. I can actually see what’s in my closets, so I strangely feel like I have more clothes now that I can look at them all. It all started because I know we will be moving soonish, and I don’t want to have to deal with all of that when we are moving. It feels so good to be getting organized.
Listing all of the things that Nick and I want to do before we leave Hawaii. We finally finished making our bucket list that we are working off of. We are planning to check two things off this weekend!
Baking these cookies, because it’s the weekend.
Writing more blog posts that are (hopefully) more interesting than this one, so stay tuned!
What’s going on with you since we last talked?!
