How is this year more than half over?! It feels like just yesterday we were celebrating Christmas. Anyway, I am really thankful that Nick and I got to spend some quality time together this month! This month was all about trying new things and soaking up as much of Hawaii as possible.

We started off our month with a little mini getaway, just the two of us. After a really hectic two months, all we wanted to do was lay on the beach! We rented a condo on the west side of the island through Airbnb and spent the long weekend relaxing and making food. I’m so glad that we had this time together before Nick had to start up school again! It really was priceless.

There isn’t much on the west side of the island, but they do have come incredible sunsets!

This isn’t a new discovery, but this month we decided to hike up Diamond Head, just because. It’s a short hike that brings you to some pretty incredible views of the water and Honolulu. I guess that touristy things are popular for a reason!

The rest of the month was pretty quiet, and I was happy for it. We have been having a lot of fun experimenting with the food we’ve been getting through our CSA, and I think I am going to have to dedicate a post to how much I love it soon.

In August, I have so much to look forward to! I am going to have to keep this post short because I have to go pack for my trip to New York! I am so excited to see my family and friends and to go to New York City. One of my best friends in the entire world is coming back to Hawaii with me for 1o days and I am looking forward to spending some time with her. We were college roommates and practically did everything together back in college, but we haven’t had a lot of quality time together since I moved to Hawaii. I miss her a lot and I think 10 days in Hawaii with her will be amazing.
